I liked it , the Atmosphere is excellent, the waitresses are happy, joking while being attentive. Now we only had breakfast but the eggs were good, coffee good, hash browns were plain but still ok, Specialty bread(Parmesan pepper & maple) was homemade Thick slices, Bacon was cooked crisp like I like it. I think we will try this place for lunch next.
Got breakfast sandwiches for the crew working on Rte 2, and honestly they were fantastic.
My husband and I were taking MA Route 2 and discovered French King Restaurant. We stopped for lunch on a Thursday and found it very quiet. But the food was absolutely delicious! I had a mushroom Swiss burger with a side of coleslaw, and my husband had a grilled ham and cheese with fries. The food was hot and tasty. The server was very pleasant and attentive. They do close from 2-5, so check their hours before heading there. Happy eating!
The atmosphere is a 70's interpretation of New England colonial. A little musty like an unused room. Not real clean but passable. My food was unremarkable. The waitress said maybe the cook could try harder when my partner said her food was inedible. The table was cleared and we got the bill without apology.
Food was mediocre, slow service even though it was almost empty. Price was OK and the beer was good.
Throwback to the days gone by. The decor is almost something you might see in Disney. Old Colonial with a fireplace. Very nice.
